Looks like fried green tomatoes are in order

Blogger is being difficult, so I can’t upload the pictures I took yesterday and this morning. One was of a basket full of green tomatoes I picked ahead of the freezing temperatures we were supposed to have last night; and the other was of the light coating of snow on the daylilies and neighbor’s roof that came last night. I forgot to snip the remaining three rosebuds and one bloom off the rose bush, so they got a little chilly. Hopefully that won’t do anything strange to it for next year. It’s nice and sunny out, but definitely cold. Rumor is we’re supposed to have spotty lake-effect snow all day, although most of it’s supposed to be a little bit north of us. Maybe I ought to put the rest of the storm windows down.
I’ll be leaving out early-early in the A.M. tomorrow for a road trip down to North Carolina to enjoy the fall color and our friends’ wedding, so y’all have a good weekend!
