Pop!

Just in time for Thanksgiving dinner, my stomach muscles decided they’d had enough.

Hey, I’ve got a question

Can you put much stock in the long-range forecasting of a climate-change-denying meteorologist?  That’s only half a jab at him, and half an actual honest question.
Anyway, he says average temperature around 26º, and 85″ of snow for the season, with December averages higher and January-February averages a bit lower.  So it looks pretty much like [...]

To get a jump on the holiday festivities, we went out for a tasty dinner with some friends, then went to see some other friends open for Wax Fang.  It would’ve been nice to actually stay and listen to Wax Fang, but a) we were tired and b) the WORST BAND I HAVE EVER SEEN AND/OR [...]

Still pregnant!

I had my third prenatal appointment this morning, a quick once-over to make sure there was still a baby in there, and if so, that it was doing all the things a 14-week-old fetus should.  So far, so good, unless of course the “baby” in question is actually a tumor that has a heartbeat and [...]

Huh.  There was less snow when I left.

My luck.

I’m three for four on rainy departures.  This shouldn’t be surprising, because I’m departing from Ireland, for heaven’s sake, but last year it was dry for the whole month I was here, then poured cats and dogs the day I left.  It’s been mostly dry for the last week and a half, and that’s less [...]

Bring on the weird!

Today marks 14 weeks.  The little sucker that’s starting to push my guts out of its way is about 3 1/2 inches long and does all kinds of bizarre things one might not expect a 3 1/2-inch-long human bean to do.
