Three sticks and a squirt

Today Nuala donated her chunky thighs to the cause of public health (and her own).  I’ve heard horror stories about babies and shots–the tears, the screaming, turning into a fussy nightmare for a few days, fevers, etc–but so far so good here.
First up was the rotavirus vaccination, which is goo in a tube given orally. [...]

I guess that’s restful

Nuala sleeps in as close as she can get to a c-shape, going the opposite way from what one might expect to be comfortable.  But whatever, her baby joints are made of gelatinous material at this point, so I guess she can sleep in whatever funky position she wants.

Along with just about everything else baby- and parenting-related…
Last night was the first night I’ve slept in our bed with my husband and without the baby since she was born.  For the past week or so, we’ve been making the transition from all three of us in our bed, to just me and her and [...]

This is why satirical baby-advice website Let’s Panic! is a brilliant idea.
Put your baby down for at least four naps a day! Don’t let your baby take more than three naps a day! Don’t let your baby sleep longer than an hour! If your baby sleeps shorter than an hour and a half between 11am [...]

Arithmetic

Treadmill (best purchase ever) + Bouncy seat (best baby gift ever) + cheap box fan = 1 sweaty, happy mama.
Note: the above holds true if and only if you have the Best Baby Ever, or at least one who’s willing to nap while you’re on the treadmill and be awake but groggy enough to wait [...]
